Chargers vs. Bradenton Christian: (26-24, 13-25, 15-13) Win
The Chargers opened their season last Friday with a win over Bradenton Christian. The serving in the first set was fantastic! Kirsten P. led the team in serves over the net earning five points for the Chargers. Lacy S. was a dynamic back row player calling the ball and receiving serves. The highlight of the first set was the 3-touch passing between Lauren B., Peighton S. and Maggie T. During the second set, the Chargers gave up a few points before settling into the game. Lauren E. and Rachael C. were both moving to the ball. By the third set, the Chargers were fired up and won the game!
Chargers vs. Cambridge Christian: (17-25, 20-25) Loss
On Monday, the Chargers hosted Cambridge Christian. In the first set, Dorothy C. did an excellent job of communicating with her teammates. Her 3-touch passing with Lacy S. and Maggie T. earned the ball back several times. The highlight of the set was Kirsten P. playing the ball out of the net. In the second set, Makenna R. was defending our back row with digs. Leah M. and Lauren E. put together passing combinations that our opponent couldn't return. The best serving of the game was by Lily M. and Anna M. Despite the competitive playing, the Chargers lost in two sets.
