CHARGERS SWIM & DIVE DISTRICT CHAMPIONS

Athletics

Shorecrest Chargers Swim & Dive Team began the post-season with another District Championship for both the girls and boys team! This is the twelfth straight year as  District Champions and the girls team bested the runners up by 250 points and the boys by 134 points.

The girls team were able to pull off first place finishes in all three relays: 200 Medley (Hannah B., Courtney C., Taylor E and Meredith L.); 200 Free (Clara W., Sylvia S., Emery C. and Reagan Q.); and the 400 Free (Hannah B., Taylor E., Courtney C., and Meredith L.).  Courtney C. led the team with two individual District wins in the 200 Free and the 100 Breast, setting a new school record in this event with a 1:07.95!

Winning one event each were Meredith L. (50 Free) and Taylor E.

The boys amazed many of our competitors by not winning a single individual or relay event, but managing to win the meet. Incredible effort by all of our boys team to pull that off.

The team was well represented at the Region Meet, held on Halloween night, by the following girls: Hannah B., Emery C., Courtney C., Hannah D., Sophie E., Hailey E., Taylor E., Laura H., Meredith L., Taylor Anne N., Reagan Q., Sylvia S. and Clara W.

The 400 Free Relay of Hannah B., Courtney C., Taylor E. and Meredith L. broke the school record with a very fast 3:39.59! The boys team consisted of: Chase A., Jake A., Joseph B., Pablo C., Corey C., Ethan F., PJ F., Will H., Dominic H., Max K., Jack L., Misha M., David S. and Felix S.

At this extremely competitive meet the Chargers were able to finish 3rd on the boys side and 4th on the girls and advanced the following to the State Meet:

Courtney C. – 200 Medley Relay, 200 Free, 100 Breast, 400 Free Relay
