Shorecrest Swim & Dive Completes Season

Chargers Swim & Dive ended the season this past Friday at the FHSAA 1A State Meet. "I cannot express the amount of pride in the accomplishments of this fine group of swimmers and divers." Coach Patty said. The 200 Medley team with Hannah B., Courtney C., Taylor E. and Meredith L. finished 11th and the same ladies manned the 400 Free Relay, finished 9th AND broke the school record again with a 3:39.55.
Individually, Courtney was 21st in the 200 Free, 16th in the 100 Breast, again breaking the school record with a 1:07.66. Meredith was 24th in the 50 Free and 14th in the 100 Free. Hannah was 22nd in the 100 Free. Sophie E. was 21st in Diving. The girls team tied for 18th place overall out of 36 teams.
The boys team of two did fantastic with Dominic H. finishing 9th in Diving and Felix S. 15th in the 100 Back, together scoring 11 points to place them 33rd out of 41 teams.

The team will be celebrating the successful season at the annual banquet to be held this Sunday at school. Not only will awards be presented, but the seniors, Meredith L., Laura H., Elizabeth F., Taylor Anne N., Corey C. and Felix S. will be recognized one more time for their contributions to the team.
