Chargers vs Indian Rocks Christian, 1/21, 64-36 Win
The JV Chargers traveled to Indian Rocks Christian to defeat the Golden Eagles 64-36 in district play. In the first half, the game was tight with the Chargers leading 26-21. Austin G. came out hot scoring 6 in the first quarter and gave the team a tremendous energy boost getting key steals and rebounds. Dillon P. had 9 at half, making 4 of 7 from the free throw line.
After the break, Shorecrest came out strong outscoring Indian Rocks 38- 15 in the second half. The Chargers looked good defensively and tightened up on fouls, only giving the Golden Eagles six chances at the free throw line.
Scoring was spread out amongst the team; with Dillon P. and Chas O. scoring 11 points on the night, and Alex A. following with 10 points.
Chargers vs Northside Christian, 1/22, 80-45 Win
In the last game of the JV season the Chargers came out strong in this district match up. Shorecrest led 23-9 after the first quarter; with Jack L. scoring 9 points and Jordan J. sinking 2 three pointers. The Chargers scored 30 points in the second quarter, with contributions coming from all the players. Jack L. had 15 points for the night, followed by Dillon P. with 14 and 9 points for both Charlie H. and Chas O. The JV Chargers finished the season with an impressive 11-3 record, with only one loss in district play (11-1). Congratulations to the JV Chargers on a great season!
