CHARGERS SWIM & DIVE OVERCOME HURRICANE IRMA

Athletics

Despite losing a week of practice and two meets to Hurricane Irma, Shorecrest Swim & Dive had some great results over this past week!

The team was back in action on Saturday for the Tampa Bay Classic Invitational Meet hosted by Shorecrest and Northside Christian. Quite a few teams were unable to make the meet, but eleven teams did end up participating and the Chargers girls team finished fourth overall and the boys team was third.

On the boys side we had Joseph B. finishing 2nd in the 500 Free, Pablo C. 3rd in the 200 IM, Dominic H. 2nd in Diving. The boys medley relay (Misha M., David S., Caleb K. and Joseph B.) and the 400 Free Relay (Joseph B., Pablo C., Misha M., Caleb K.) were both  3rd

On the girls side, Sophie E. finished 3rd in Diving and Sarah L. was 2nd in the 500 Free. The girls 400 Free Relay (Taylor E., Reagan Q., Emery C. and Sarah L.) was 3rd.

The Middle School team had their meet on Monday with Canterbury and Berkeley Prep participating. Congratulations to Sofia A. on finishing first in the 50 Free and Anna J. for her top finish in the 50 Breast. The Boys and Girls team were third overall and lots of time improvements were realized, so a great way to start back after a difficult week.
