SWIM & DIVE CELEBRATES AT AWARDS BANQUET

The Chargers Swim & Dive team celebrated a very successful season this past Sunday at the annual awards banquet. After a delicious dinner and cookie cake, the coaching staff recounted the highlights of the season which included boys champions and girls runners-up at the City Championship meet and 14th time as boys and girls District champions. The many volunteer parents were thanked and the seniors recognized for the last time for their service to the team.
Varsity letters and pins were presented and special awards were given to members that had perfect practice attendance. Plaques were presented to all who had contributed to the City Championship, District, Region and State meets, plus awards to both Middle School and Varsity for completing all of the events over the course of the season.
Three Middle School and one Varsity swimmer were recognized for breaking school records! Ainsley B. broke the Middle School 50 Breast record with a 35.03, Jeremy B. broke the boys 50 breast with a 35.01. On the varsity side, Caleb K. lowered the 100 Fly record to 52.71 and received a plaque to commemorate the accomplishment.
Finally, the school awards were presented.
