Second Grade Saved Sammy!

Students worked to "save" Sammy, the gummy worm. After the poor guy was capsized with his life preserver stuck under his "boat", it was up to the second graders to get him into his life preserver (a Lifesaver). The problem? They could only move items using paperclips - No Hands!
The children enjoyed problem solving in pairs and had fun practicing the scientific method:
