Learning about peace and how to be peaceful is an important part of our curriculum. Throughout the year, concepts of peace, as well as conflict, will be interwoven into our classrooms and instructional practices.
Next Wednesday, September 21, the children will gather together for International Day of Peace to stand as a community for peace and think about ways we can have peace in our lives at home and at school. Students may wear their “peace” shirts with uniform bottoms on that day. We will ask each child to bring in at least one food item for The Kind Mouse Food Drive and create a display of our collection showing the impact of small acts of kindness.
