Fourth grade is studying the history of Cuban migration. They began their unit by learning about the factors that contributed to the migration of a family of one of their classmate's from Cuba to the United States and then to Florida.

A recent field experience in Ybor City, Tampa, offered the students an opportunity to study the impact that Cuban immigrants had on the Tampa Bay Area. They will continue to study the push and pull factors that contributed to Cubans immigrating to the Bay Area during different time periods.
