First Grade students have been studying the big, beautiful word PERSEVERANCE! They are learning that mistakes are proof you are trying and to never give up.
Mrs. Carson's class read the book "Ish" by Peter H. Reynolds. In the book, a boy named Ramon learns to free himself from perfection, and instead draw from his feelings. Thinking "ish - ly" allows Ramon's ideas to flow freely. Chargers in first grade began to draw freely as well and learned that thinking this way and drawing from the heart is always practically perfect!
