Sorting Words in Kindergarten

Each week the kindergarten students are introduced to a picture sort. We discuss different ways we could sort the pictures. For the past few weeks we have been working on rhyming word sorts. The students sort the words according to the rhyme. We have also been brainstorming other words which rhyme with our picture sort. To reinforce hearing rhyming words, we have been reading fun stories and poems that include rhyming words.
