First grade has begun our new science unit "Brain and Bodyworks". To kick off our unit, Mrs. Peck, a science teacher in Upper School, came to teach first graders about the body. She brought with her Shorecrest's real skeleton named "Seymour Bones." The students in first grade will get to have many more experiences with Mrs. Peck and other guest experts throughout this unit to teach them about the different systems and parts of the human body.
