Disney Cross Country Classic

Congratulations to sophomore Olivia R. the Individual Champion of the 1A Division of the Disney Cross Country Classic with a fantastic time of 20:26! (This means she ran 3.1 miles, or 5k, in 20 minutes and 26 seconds.) Given Disney's new rules for the grouping of runners, only Olivia and teammate Peninah B. were able to run in the varsity race. Peninah finished 18th out of 141 runners - way to go girls! Senior Kat F. and freshman Elizabeth H. represented the Chargers in the JV race. Middle school top finishing girl in the 2-mile race was 7th grader Isabelle S. whose time of 14:06 was 35th out of 246 runners!
The boys varsity team was led by junior Justin S. His 17:40 finish put him in the 12th position out of 178. The team finished 4th overall in the 1A race, behind three teams from outside of Florida. The JV boys were led by junior Tanner W. whose time of 21:13 was 21st out of 126 runners. Middle school boys were led by 8th grader Aidan S. He finished the 2-mile race in 12:35 in 46th place out of 298 runners.
