Varsity Sailing Qualifies for Districts

Last Saturday, Shorecrest won 6 of the 24 races sailed in the South Points #6 Regatta to finish 3rd overall and secure their spot for the District Championships.
The event was sailed in our home waters in downtown St. Petersburg. 24 varsity teams and 12 JV teams competed, making it the largest regatta of the year. The combination of Cole S., Hannah S., Josh D. and Kyle D. won the varsity B division while Nic B., Patrick S., Kathryn B., and Peninah B. combined to finish 3rd in the varsity A division.

Although there is one more South Points regatta on February 28th, this regatta finish guarantees the Chargers a berth at the District Championships to be held here in St. Pete on April 18-19.
