In just its second year, the US Vex Robotics team competed alongside 176 teams from around the country, Canada, and Hong Kong at this year's US Open VEX National Championship. The only team from Florida, they overcame a number of obstacles, including programming issues and a 'broken leg' (crack in the robot's lift mechanism) to win 5 of their 10 matches.
While the team had hoped to end the tournament ranked higher than their 80th spot, they learned many valuable lessons that will carry over to next season - which will start next week. Thank you so much to Jabil for their sponsorship and support of our STEM learning.
