The entire eighth grade class created and participated in the first Shorecrest Middle School Shakespeare in the Park. “The Winter's Tale”, “Julius Caesar”, “As You Like It”, “Macbeth”, “Romeo and Juliet” and “A Midsummer Night’s Dream” were all represented in parody and in actual scenes.

The students were responsible for memorization, advertising, props, costumes and hospitality. The evening's hospitality sales produced $500, which was generously matched by the Rutledge family - and again by Microsoft totaling $1500! The proceeds from the event will go to Shorecrest’s Relay For Life team Shakespeare for the Cure.
