The 16th annual Shorecrest Kindergarten “Quilting Day” was a smashing success! The kindergarten project room was outfitted with 15 sewing machines, ironing boards and volunteers throughout the day. Each child helped with manning the sewing machine foot pedals and pulling pins from their individual 30" quilt.
The final seams were phase three of the Kindergarten Quilt Project which began several weeks earlier with the driving question, "Does a quilt do more than just keep people warm?" The finished quilts will be displayed for a quilt walk on April 15th. Please come view them when you are here for the Celebrate the Arts Lower School performance next Friday.
