Running in sand is never easy, but the Cross Country Chargers didn’t let the surface get in the way of their success Saturday at the Kiwanis Tri City Classic at Sand Key Park.
The Varsity girls had strong finishes, as Olivia R. nabbed 3rd place with an impressive surge at the tape, Isabelle S. placed 18th and Julia L. placed 19th. With the help of Sabrina A. and Reilly K., the Varsity girls team placed 6th in a strong field.
Kyle H. moved to the front of the pack and earned 17th place out of a field of well over 100 runners.
The cross country team moves from the beach to Starkey Wilderness Park in New Port Richey this Saturday. Go, Chargers!
