The Middle School golf team notched their first victory on Wednesday, October 5. The team earned four points to the season total and is only one point behind first place. The Chargers score of 130 was four shots better than the Open Public team that is currently tied for first place.
This great accomplishment was led by 7th grader Bill B, who shot 28 and was the lowest score of the day. He capped off his round with a chip-in birdie on his final hole. Russ A shot 33, Isabella D 34, and 35 was recorded by three golfers - Eric J, Connor C, and Anna J. Anna shot her low round of the season when her team really needed her.
Middle School golfers also traveled to Twin Brooks golf course. This was a new course for most of the golfers. The Chargers battled the course to a second place finish. They were lead by Bill B. with a round of 29. His round equaled the best round of the day. Other top performers included Conner C. and Kyle C. with scores of 38, and Jake D. with a round of 40. The Chargers showed a lot of grit in this one.
