Celebrating being 100 Days Smarter

Lower School News

Many Lower School classrooms celebrated the 100th day of school this week in a variety of ways. In second grade, students completed several challenges including preparing a snack using 10 lots of 10 different items, writing 100 words and creating a paper chain with 100 links.

Math rotation games and activities in first grade centered around the number 100. Mrs. Owen's first grade class also challenged itself to read 100 books in one morning, tallying their progress on the board as they read.

Frst graders and kindergarteners each brought 100 pieces of a snack ingredient to share for 100 Day Snack Mix. Kindergarteners also brought in 100 of any object they could find at home - with items ranging from books and beads to LEGOs and stickers. Together they enjoyed a 100 Days cake!
