Fourth grade and third grade finished their school year with their big final project, LA FERIA LATINA (The Latin Fair)!
For this project they researched Spanish speaking countries. They learned about their location in the world, capital cities, flags and why the countries were famous. They also learned about their typical music and food. To teach others what they had learned, they created games for the kindergarteners, first graders and second graders.
The fourth and third graders decorated their own booths, and had fun putting all this together by themselves! Two fourth grade classes worked with two high school Spanish classes, and at the fair they hosted their booths together! They were so proud of their final product - they had their games, prizes, food, and fun, fun, fun! Some Latin American mothers and grandmothers of Shorecrest students also participated. The most important part of all was that the children were learning some Spanish language and culture. BRAVO third and fourth grade!
