Second grade teacher Ms. Horne is a lover of math and has celebrated Pi Day since she was in middle school. She adapted Pi Day for her second graders. Every year they read "Sir Cumference and the Dragon of Pi" by Cindy Neuschwander. They learn that Pi is an infinite number and is celebrated every March 14th. On Pi day, students can participate in Ms. Horne's memory challenge. The student who memorizes and recites the most digits of Pi correctly gets to pie Ms. Horne in the face! This year, Mac correctly recited 73 digits! Congratulations Mac and Happy Pi Day!
