MS Football Jamboree, 30-0 win! [Photos]

Congratulations to the inaugural MS Football Spring Team on their 30-0 win over Northside Christian on Thursday afternoon.
The Chargers held 15 practices this Spring, with 28 rising sixth, seventh & eighth graders. In the culminating Jamboree game against Northside Christian, Shorecrest started the scoring on their first possession of the game with a QB keeper by Rogan K. The offense was firing on all cylinders throughout the game, with additional touchdown runs by Enzo P., Drew B. and a touchdown catch in the corner of the end zone by James F.
Jake K. added an extra point with a tough run up the middle, and James F. and Talon H also scored extra points. The defense was stifling all afternoon and allowed only one first down by the Mustangs. The Chargers registered several QB sacks and tackles for loss.
This was the first football game for several Chargers and everyone contributed to the win. Last fall, the MS football Chargers finished a great season with only one loss, and it was against Northside. The Chargers are looking forward to the 2018 fall season, and Thursday's victory bodes well for a fun and exciting upcoming campaign.
Thanks to our coaches, Coach Z, Coach Kane and Coach Hughes for making this Spring season a great experience for the players. And thanks to the "Team Parents" Hannah Wright and Vanissa Ma, and all the parents for all you do for this team!
