Two Middle School Sailors Qualify to Represent the US at International Regattas

Over 230 sailors under the age of 16 from across the country spent Thanksgiving weekend in New Orleans, LA, competing to earn a spot on Team USA. After three days of qualifying races, two Shorecrest seventh graders were tapped to represent the US at upcoming European regattas.
Dorothy M. '24 will travel to Spain this February to race for the Palamos International Optimist Trophy while Kate D. '24 will be in Italy this April for the Riva Del Garda regatta.
Once they are eighth graders next year, the girls will be eligible to participate on the Shorecrest JV sailing team.
