Contributing Chargers: St. Pete Skin & Laser

This week’s Contributing Charger is also this year’s 1923 Community Sponsor, St. Petersburg Skin & Laser. As a Tampa Bay Area native and Shorecrest alumna, Dr. Kat Kesty ‘06 and her husband, Will Taylor, are excited by the opportunity to partner with Shorecrest. 

"I love the Shorecrest community. I started at Shorecrest in fourth grade and the friends I made from that year on have remained lifelong friends. We have seen each other through 20+ years of life’s ups and downs, including graduations, marriages, careers, kids, and more. It has been wonderful reconnecting with more members of the Shorecrest community as I started my Dermatology Practice in St. Petersburg. Most of the people involved in helping start my practice - from the graphic design, landlord, interior design, construction crew, outdoor signage, etc. - are all members of the Shorecrest community. 

Our son, Charles, will start in the Alpha Program at Shorecrest in 2021. We are excited for him to begin his journey at Shorecrest. For me, partnering with Shorecrest provides us the opportunity to support the school and also to meet other like-minded families and businesses in the community. 

Giving back has always been important to me and my family. We have traveled all over the world providing care to underserved communities. We believe in supporting education and health. Supporting Shorecrest helps to enrich St. Petersburg by providing the best quality education to families that may not be able to afford it otherwise. We believe that quality education will only continue to enrich the St. Petersburg community that we care deeply about.”

We ask that you support our students, teachers and Technology team on January 21, our third Shorecrest Fund Giving Day, in celebration of Innovation & Technology. The Shorecrest Tech Team has worked ceaselessly to enhance the security of our networks, provide professional development for teachers to better facilitate online learning programs and prepare students of all ages for in-class and flexible learning.

St. Petersburg Skin & Laser uses the newest technology that enables their office to provide the highest level of care. While running her own practice, Dr. Kesty implemented many of the lessons learned during her Shorecrest experience. We are proud to recognize partnerships with like-minded businesses in the Tampa Bay Area, like St. Petersburg Skin & Laser. 

The impact of our Contributing Chargers is felt every day. When we make a gift or volunteer our time to Shorecrest, we are really just giving back to each other.
