Community Sponsor Spotlight: American Integrity Insurance Group
Jon Ritchie, president of American Integrity Insurance Group, and his wife, Abby, have set a great example for their children. Not only do Natalie ‘33 and Michael ’35 like seeing the name of the company, founded by their grandfather Bob Ritchie in 2006, on a campus billboard, they also understand its significance there.
“They get the concept of service and giving back, and they understand that the company’s support is another way of being generous,” says Abby. “We’re very invested in the School and we’re really concerned about helping the local community; and Shorecrest has demonstrated exactly the kind of values that American Integrity is proud to support.”
Abby describes the School as being “near and dear to our family” – a place where the kids started their education as Alphas. As a fourth grader, Natalie loves reading, being on safety patrol and Little Sparks activities, and is really looking forward to Middle School.
Second grader Michael is a math whiz and “crazy fast,” according to his Mom, who adds that he looks forward to being involved in track and field.
The family has long supported the School as donors and as volunteers; and in the past few years added corporate sponsorship to the ways in which they give back. American Integrity Insurance Group will become a two-time presenting sponsor of the Shorecrest Gala this year.
“We sponsored the Centennial Gala last year,” says Abby, “and when we were at a donor appreciation dinner last spring, Bob looked around and said, ‘Let’s do the Gala next year!’ He was so impressed with the community we’re building that he wanted to be a part of it; and he asked me to go over right then and tell Michael and Sarah that we would sponsor the Gala again.”
Abby is very much looking forward to this year’s Gala, since they weren’t able to attend last year, and says, “We’re all weary after the hurricanes, and I think it will be nice to get dressed up and have something to celebrate. If this can be a fun time to get everyone together and celebrate us as a community, that would be amazing!”
When asked about the benefits of being a community sponsor she says, “This is a great cause, with great exposure, that gives you a great introduction to an incredible potential bevy of clients.”
