Fun Fraction Pizza

Lower School News

Fourth graders in Ms. Stoddard’s class enjoyed turning the classroom into a pizzeria as they dove deep into their fractions unit. Red and white tablecloths, flickering “candles”, aprons and chefs hats added to the ambiance.

Each student received a cardboard pizza box and construction paper to create a “pizza” divided into slices. They decorated each slice with paper cut-out toppings, and evaluated the fractions of toppings on their pizza. They were able to demonstrate and share their knowledge of fractions while having fun!
