Weather Expert Visits First Grade

Mrs. Carson and Mrs. Sheppard's first grade classes welcomed WFLA Channel 8 Tampa Bay Chief Meteorologist & Climate Specialist Jeff Berardelli as a guest expert during their study of weather. Mr. Berardelli talked to the students about the technology and tools he uses, the water cycle, using math to make predictions - and more!
These two classes have been observing clouds, learning to read a thermometer and studying the water cycle. Throughout the study, students kept a weather journal and noticed how the weather affects their choice of clothing. The students learned so much from our guest expert that related back to their investigations. Thank you Mr. Berardelli!
