Varsity Girls Golf 6th at Regionals, Sophia Dyer '26 on to State

After winning Districts, the Shorecrest Varsity Girls Golf Chargers competed at Regionals on Tuesday, October 31 at the Valencia Golf Club in Naples. The girls gave their best on a balmy Halloween (87 degrees), and made the Chargers proud. They wrapped up a strong season, undefeated in match play, won at Districts and finished 6th at Regionals.
Mia Lee '24 finished her career strong with a 3rd at Districts. Sophia Dyer '26 won Districts individually with a 67 and finished 3rd at Regionals with a 72, moving on to State Finals in two weeks as one of the two best non-qualified team players. As only a sophomore, this will be Sophia’s 5th appearance at the State Finals.
The Shorecrest Varsity Boys Golf Chargers finished 3rd at Districts and 11th at Regionals. At Regionals Clark Mason '26 paced the squad with a 3 over par score of 75, which placed him in a tie for 18th overall. Daven Fudge '24 continued his strong post-season with a personal best round of 76.
