For their semester presentations, Shorecrest Upper School students in Kayla Brazee's 1960s America elective class gave "Mad Men"-inspired advertising pitches on companies that were created in the 1960s. They were tasked with researching the history of each company along with some of their notable advertising campaigns. Then they re-branded them to suit more modern tastes.
Students gave presentations with their fresh ideas, including modernizing famous logos and launching social media campaigns to capture a wider audience. Companies included Red Lobster, Mastercard, Southwest Airlines, Peet's Coffee and Taco Bell. Don Draper from "Mad Men" would surely be proud!
