Grandparents and Special Friends of Shorecrest students are cordially invited to campus for a special program at the 40th Annual Grandparents & Special Friends Day on Friday, March 28!

The event will run from 8am-1pm and will include a special program and lunch.

REMINDERS FOR PARENTS -

Upper School

  • Student drivers will be instructed to park at 7401 4th St. North (the site of Gallagher's Pumpkin and Christmas Tree's patch / old Winn Dixie) 
  • Shuttle buses will bring students to and from campus and satellite parking
  • Upper School will follow its late start schedule on Friday

Middle School 

  • Middle School students should be dressed in uniform (not spirit wear)

Experiential and  Lower Schools

  • Experiential and Lower Schools’ students should be dressed in uniform (not spirit wear)
  • Dismissal for grades ES-4 is 11:45am
  • Lunch will be available on campus 11:30am-1pm for Grandparents / Special Friends who RSVP'ed to dine with their students
  • Lower School students leaving with their grandparents must be signed out in the classroom before leaving campus
  • Experiential School Families will need to complete an Authorized Pick-Up Plan Form, which will be shared in advance through Schoology
  • Students signed up for School Closed Child Care after lunch with a Grandparent/Special Friend need to be signed in for School Closed Child Care 

EVENT SCHEDULE -
8am: Check-in begins in Charger Commons. Plan to arrive before 9am
8-9am: Breakfast available in Charger Commons
8:10-8:45am: Admissions Q&A available in the Raymund Center
9-9:45am: Program/Performances in the Janet Root Theatre
10-11:25am: Classroom Visits
11:30am-1pm: Lunch with students in Charger Commons

EVENT PARKING -

  • All available parking areas will be marked with Chargers flags
  • Personnel will be on hand to help direct you where to park
  • Please expect a high volume of cars and slower than usual traffic
  • If there is heavy rain prior or on the day of the event, the grass Event Parking lot on the north side of campus will be closed. Grandparents & Special Friends may park in any parking lot on campus, except for the 1st Street lot, which is reserved for faculty.
