Harper Nelson-Wooley '27 Awarded for Writing

Upper School News

Shorecrest Upper School is proud to announce that Harper Nelson-Wooley '27, staff writer and illustrator for The Chronicle -- Shorecrest Upper School's student newspaper, recently won a "Best in School Newspapers Online (SNO)" award for her video-game review "'Mouthwashing' is a Breath of Fresh Air for Indie Horror Fans." Read it here on The Chronicle website.

The article was also reposted on the SNO Sites website (the industry standard in website platform creators for scholastic journalism). Getting a story published on Best of SNO is difficult. They "receive over 100 submissions per day, and only about 15% are selected for publication." Harper's article and others will be submitted for more awards in the spring.

"This is a huge honor," shared Kristie Dowling, Faculty Advisor to The Chronicle. "We are so proud to have writers like Harper on our staff. Please congratulate her when you see her!"
