Josilynn Hart '25 art at Florida State Fair

The Florida State Fair hosts an annual Art Portfolio competition for talented artists who are high school seniors. Josilynn Hart '25 had a portfolio among the 360 entries, which were narrowed down to 32 portfolios to be seen by guests at the Florida State Fair. An additional 40 students had one outstanding piece selected from their portfolio to display on the Wall of Excellence. Josilynn's piece "Selfie #2" will be exhibited on the Wall of Excellence, a highlight of the Fair’s Youth Art Competitions. The Fair will be open February 6-17, 2025.

"Jo submitted work from what she is doing for her AP Art Portfolio," explained Charla Gaglio, chair of the Upper School Visual Arts Department. "Her theme is the joys and carefree qualities of childhood, versus what she sees as the increased stress of becoming a young adult. Jo and I are very excited about her accomplishment with this honor."
