Carter McCleish '27 Shares Musical Magic with JK Students

Arts Experiential School News

At Shorecrest, sharing student talents across divisions is a cherished tradition, fostering a sense of community and mentorship. On October 17, this tradition was beautifully exemplified when Carter McCleish '27 a gifted student musician, played piano for Junior Kindergarten students in the JRT lobby.

Carter played two enchanting songs. The first was the beloved "Disney's Beauty and the Beast” theme song. This song was chosen to get students excited about the upcoming Middle School Performing Arts production of "Disney's Beauty and the Beast, Jr." in a few weeks. After the performance JK students got to ask Carter questions.

Shorecrest's commitment to bridging the gap between divisions through such acts of talent sharing not only inspires a sense of unity but also encourages younger students to aspire to reach similar heights as they progress through their educational journey within the Shorecrest community. Carter's performance was a shining example of how Shorecrest nurtures and celebrates the artistic talents of its students while fostering a sense of connection across all age groups.
