Upper School News Athletics


Shorecrest Chargers Varsity Baseball vs. IMG Academy: 2-6 Loss.
Shorecrest baseball outhit IMGA 7-4 but still fell short. Jake Diner ‘25 collected 2 hits including a home run, Eli Thomas ‘25 had 3 hits with a double, and Chris Booth ‘25 had 2 hits. Thomas pitched 6 strong innings with 6 strikeouts and only 2 earned runs. Cooper Register ‘25 and Luke Lavoie ‘26 pitched in relief.  

Varsity Baseball vs. Victory Christian: 7-8 Loss.
Chargers Baseball outhit Victory Christian 11-6 but lost late in the game. Eli Thomas ‘25, Jake Diner ‘25, and Chris Booth ‘25 had 2 hits each. Beau LeCain ‘27, Cooper Register ‘25, Ed Sax ‘27, Kyle G ‘28 and Jordan B ‘28 also had hits.

Varsity Baseball vs. Northside Christian 0-6 Loss.
After giving up 5 runs in the first, Chargers baseball played tough against 5th ranked Northside Christian but came up short in the end. Beau LeCain ‘25, Cooper Register ‘25, and Kyle G ‘28 each had a hit for Shorecrest. Wes Ryan ‘25, Beau LeCain ‘27, and Cooper Phillips ‘24 each pitched for the Chargers.

Varsity Baseball vs. Pinellas Park 6-7 Loss.
The Chargers rallied late but came up just short against Pinellas Park. Eli Thomas ‘25 collected 2 hits including a home run, Kyle G ‘28 had 2 hits including g a double, and Jake Diner ‘25 singled. Diner and Ed Sax ‘27 pitched for Shorecrest.

Varsity Baseball vs. Northeast High: 4-5 Loss.
Chargers baseball almost had Northeast despite their #3 ranking among 5A schools in Florida. Wes Ryan ‘25 had 2 hits including a home run, with Beau LeCain ‘27, Eli Thomas ‘25, Jake Diner ‘25, Chris Booth ‘25, and Kyle G ‘28 also collecting hits. Thomas threw a complete game giving up only 3 earned runs with 6 strikeouts. 

Varsity Baseball vs. Lakeland Christian 6-10 Loss.
The Chargers fought back hard to tie Lakeland Christian, the 11th ranked team in Florida. It was 6-6 in the 6th inning but ended short of the victory. Wes Ryan ‘25 had a 2-run homer in the 6th and Chris Booth ‘25 collected 2 hits including a double. Other Chargers with hits include Eli Thomas ‘25, Jake Diner ‘25, and Cooper Register ‘25. Diner pitched 5 innings giving up only 3 earned runs, with Ryan and Luke Lavoie ‘26 pitching in relief.
