Robotics Club at Vex State Tournament

Upper School News


On February 21, 2015, Upper School students from the Robotics Club and Intro to Engineering class participated in the state VEX robotics tournament at the USF Sun Dome. Fifty-six teams participated in the day-long tournament. 

The class team robot won 2 out of 5 matches ending the day ranked 37th in the state. The club team robot, nicknamed MONTE, won 4 out of 5 matches and reached the elimination round. They ended the day ranked 9th. The following Wednesday, the club team received word that they had earned a bid to the US Open Tournament in Council Bluffs, Iowa, in April. Way to go Chargers!
