In 2012, Shorecrest was the first school on the west coast of Florida to host the National History Bowl and Bee. We hosted a total of 12 teams that year. This year, 28 teams assembled in Landy Hall answering questions in College Bowl fashion on topics ranging from North and South American, European, African, and Asian History - from Ancient to Modern.
Shorecrest fielded 2 Bowl teams and 2 Bee teams. We won Semi-Finalist and Quarter Finalist positions, which allows us to compete nationally in Washington, DC in April 2016!
Lower and Middle schools can field teams in a competition specially designed for their grade levels. Contact Mr. Heller for more information: [email protected].
