Congratulations Tom Dillow

Over spring break our community was informed that our Assistant Headmaster/Head of Upper School, Tom Dillow, has been named the Head of School at Kingswood Oxford School in West Hartford, Connecticut. Tom and his family will complete the year at Shorecrest and begin his new duties on July 1.

 

Tom and Deirde Dillow, our School nurse, and their four sons, Finn, Ronan, Aidan and Tadhg have been active members of our Shorecrest Community for six years. Tom has lead the Upper School into the block schedule and 8:30 start time that reflects Tom’s understanding for the social and emotional health of our students. He has led the Upper School in the expansion of semester-long, in-depth electives, has increased student leadership opportunities, and has been involved in multiple international trips. In addition, Tom has helped further our diversity initiatives through both hiring and a programmatic focus.

 

Finn plans to remain at Shorecrest and complete his senior year with us. I trust our community will remain connected to the Dillows as they move into this exciting new stag of their lives.
