Upper School News

The Cross Country team opened the season last Saturday, August 25 at Holloway Park in Lakeland, FL. Boarding the bus at 6am was the team's first hurdle. Upon arrival, we knew it was going to be a tough race. The course is one of the toughest courses, and along with the muddy conditions, it made for a challenging day.

The girls varsity race had 252 runners representing 34 teams. The top female varsity runner was Sabrina Aboud '22.

The best boys varsity finish for Shorecrest was Gregory Glasscock '21 (pictured) running in a race with 345 runners representing 50 teams.

The best finish of the day for the Chargers came in the girls Middle School 3K race. Lili S. finished sixth out of 157 runners and earned a medal for her efforts.

The team's next race is Saturday, September 1, at Cresent Lake Park with the first race beginning at 7:30am.
