4A Regional Volleyball Finals @ Calvary Christian: Win!
Game #1: Chargers 25, Calvary 19
Game #2: Chargers 25, Calvary 17
Game #3: Calvary 25, Chargers 19
Game #4: Chargers 25, Calvary 22

Last night was the third time the varsity volleyball Chargers played Calvary this season. Coming from 2 defeats (one at the District championship), the team was certainly determined to have a different outcome.

Shorecrest started the first game really strong, playing phenomenal defense and showing a lot of determination. In game #2, they had some crazy rallies (most of the time resulting in a Shorecrest point) which helped their confidence even more. For Game #3, Calvary came back and with the support of their loud home fans, they made some good plays and won the match to take the game to set 4.

In game #4 both teams were clearly tired from the back and forth battles, but the Chargers came together to fight for every point. They continued to play great defense and really took their time to improve serving, which made a difference in the game, guaranteeing them the 3-1 win and the 4A Regional Championship!

Winning showed the tremendous growth of the team this season. They are much stronger physically, more disciplined tactically and their skills have improved tremendously. Their biggest asset is to be able to play as a team, cover each other’s weaknessed, and trust every player. It was a great night to win the Regional championship and wonderful to have such a supportive group of Chargers fans cheering the team on!
