Boys vs St. Stephen's/Indian Rocks: SSES 173, SPS 199, IRCS 246
Girls vs St. Stephen's: SPS 173 SSES 218
For the first time, Shorecrest sent a full girls golf team to a match. Not only that, but they won! The girls posted a score of 187 led by Isabella Dolan '22 (40) and Sophia D '26 (43). Rebecca Davis '23 posted a 47; and Sofiya Idiyatullina '23 and Mia L '24 chipped in with a 57 and 58 respectively.
The boys finished second in their tri-match between St. Stephen's and Indian Rocks Christian. St. Stephen's posted a winning score of 173 with the Chargers right behind them with a 199. Indian Rocks finished third with a score of 246. Bill Bircher '22 and Jack Satterfield '23 led the way each posting a 47, followed by Daven F '24 with 52 and Andrew Cockman '20 with 53.
It was a good showing - especially considering the wet conditions of the course and the fact that the team hasn't even had a full practice together since the season started!
The Chargers boys team will be back in action next Tuesday at Largo Municipal Golf Course taking on host, Indian Rocks Christian. Tee off is 3:30pm.
