Last Friday, Freshmen from Mr. Heller and Ms. Udwin's Global Studies class and Mrs. Gaglio's Humanities and AP Art History classes went downtown to the Museum of Fine Arts to examine the Antiquities collection. All of the classes are learning about Ancient Greece.
Dr. Michael Bennett, Senior Curator at MFA, introduced the students to the Ancient Greek World in a lecture he calls "Back to the Future." His overall message was that ancient art has no expiration date; it abounds with lessons that remain relevant today.
After Dr. Bennett spoke, the students browsed through the museum's exhibit halls and had ice cream at Kilwin's.
