On Thursday, May 7, Headmaster Mike Murphy and Incoming Head of School Nancy Spencer shared high level plans for the safe return to school in August. The full video message and transcript, and other details are posted at www.shorecrest.org/health.
Key points include:
- The Health & Safety Task Force is reviewing every detail of school life to ensure the safest possible environment for students, faculty and families.
- Plan A is to return to school in-person and on-campus in August with elevated community health guidelines. The intended start date remains Wednesday, August 19.
- Plan B allows for a hybrid of in-person and distance learning; an option as long as covid-19 remains a concern.
- Plan C is an improved all-school distance learning program, enhanced by professional development planned for the summer.
- School leaders will share detailed plans and guidelines as soon as circumstances become more clear.
Parents/guardians can expect an update prior to the end of the current school year.
