Sophomore Kevin Tang went the extra mile for a group presentation on hydrogen for his chemistry class. Kevin researched how to build a working hydrogen generator, and successfully built one! When an electric current is passed through water, H₂O, the water will split into molecules of hydrogen and oxygen gas. Kevin demonstrated to the class that the reaction occurred by passing the evolved gasses through rubber tubing into a beaker of soapy water to help visualize the gas passing through the solution.
