Varsity Football Chargers win in Semifinals

The Varsity Football Chargers played Lakeside Christian in the semifinals on November 5 and won 26-20! This win sends the team to the SSAC State Championships on Saturday, November 13.
The team continues to show resolve and determination. After trailing 12-0 in the first quarter, the defense did not yield another score until 6:32 remained in the game. Henry Pickard's 57 yard punt return, coupled with a strong running game in the final minutes and outstanding defense propelled the team to the state finals.
Highlights of the game included a 59 yard touchdown pass from Drew Bunn '23 to James Floto '23, a 13 yard touchdown run by Aneko Jackson '23 and a 57 yard punt return for a touchdown by Henry Pickard '22.
