On January 31 a group of over 15 Shorecrest grandparents and special friends gathered to enjoy a special lunch and docent-led tour of Art Festival Beth-El. Art Festival Beth-El is an invitational, judged, indoor and outdoor exhibit and sale of original artwork including painting, photography, mixed media, glass, sculpture, metal, wood, ceramics and jewelry that showcases 170+ national and international award-winning artists.
Along the tour, grandparents had the unique opportunity to speak with several of the featured artists and ask questions about their pieces and what inspires them.

Special thanks to Grandparent Council member, Karen Lieberman (grandparent of Caleb '29 and Liana '31), who organized the tour with the help of the Art Festival's Co-Chair Abby Sterensis '02.
The mission of the Grandparent Council is to encourage grandparent support and volunteerism at Shorecrest. If you are interested in joining the Grandparent Council or learning more, contact EJ Mahoney at [email protected].
The next Grandparent Council meeting will take place on Tuesday, February 8 at 1pm at the Shorecrest campus in the Ohana Community Room in Charger Commons.
