Shorecrest School

Thank you for coming to Movie Night

Advancement Lower School

On Friday, March 25, 2022, more than 600 members of the Shorecrest community gathered together for our first annual Movie Night, an amazing event presented by SCA and the Shorecrest Fund.

After more than two years of limited events on campus due to COVID-19, the collective feeling was “We’re back!” and the Shorecrest spirit was alive under the stars on the Gaffney Green. Before the showing of Disney’s “Encanto,” there were activities for all ages. Families shared picnic dinners, enjoyed food from food trucks, took photos in the photo booth, visited with friends, played on the playspace, and munched on cotton candy. Some incoming and prospective families were also welcomed into the Shorecrest community!

The fun did not stop there! The Little Sparks cheerleaders led the audience in a few Shorecrest cheers followed by remarks from Head of School, Nancy L. Spencer. When the sun began to set across campus, it was time to grab some popcorn, find a place to sit, and close out the night watching Disney’s “Encanto” with friends and family.

Thank you to the parent and student volunteers who helped run this event. This event was made possible through the partnership of SCA and the Shorecrest Fund.

When is the next Movie Night? Next year, of course!
