Sixth Grade Mythological Zoo

The Sixth grade field experience to the Lowry Park Zoo was in preparation for the creation of a mythological zoo. In Tampa, the students observed animal habitats, zoo signage, and the way animals moved - helping them to formulate ideas necessary for building their own mythological beast and staging their zoo.
In addition, the students were treated to a demonstration in the art room on how to build their beasts using recycled items from around the house. Two upcycle artists showed the students how to form their beasts using plastic bags, tape, wire, and other recycled items. The mythological zoo will be open for visitors soon... stay tuned!
