It is with great enthusiasm that I announce the fifth grade Instrument Petting Zoo!
The Instrument Petting Zoo is an event in which all fifth grade students will be given the opportunity to try three different musical instruments. These instruments will feature flute, clarinet, trumpet, trombone, alto saxophone, percussion, and violin. Students will then be asked to indicate their preference.
Following the Instrument Petting Zoo, a meeting will be held to inform parents of how they may involve their children in this exciting new Instrumental Music Program.
The Instrument Petting Zoo will be on Wednesday, August 26, from 11:00-12:30 pm in the Band Room (located in the Janet Root Theatre) and the Parent Meeting will be on Monday, August 31, at 5:30pm in the fourth grade project room.
I very much look forward to exploring music with your children in this coming school year! Please contact me with any questions: Ethan Updike, [email protected] or
