Learn about Fifth Grade Band

This week was host to the Fifth Grade Instrument Petting Zoo. This was an opportunity for Band Director Mr. Updike to guide students in trying the different instruments offered in Fifth Grade Band.
If your child enjoyed this experience and would like to join the Fifth Grade Band, they need to tell their Advisor. Fifth Grade Band will practice on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 3:15-4:15pm in the Band Room starting Tuesday, August 27.
The instrument choices for Fifth Grade Band are: flute, clarinet, alto saxophone, trumpet, trombone, and percussion. If you need to rent an instrument, please visit our local music partner, Bringe Music. Rental contracts can be completed online or in-store. Students will also need Essential Elements: Book 1 for the instrument that they choose, available at Bringe Music and Amazon.

Note: If your child plans on joining Rock Band, they must take Fifth Grade Band.
